Because I now have a keyboard in my room (thanks to a bunch of wonderful people!), I’ve taken to any-oh-how playing in between studying (not the most efficient, but it greatly increases studying-utility)… And then, encouraged/inspired by the composing songwriting of someone I know, I’ve been tinkling and coming up with a few kiddy sounding tunes of my own.
This morning though, I thought I’d attempt to put a few verses into song… so I now have a melody to remember the following verses to. yay!
The one who calls you is faithful, He is faithful
The one who calls you is faithful
And He will do it
Bring the good work
He’s started in you
To completion, to completion
By grace in Jesus Christ
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly
To love mercy
And to walk humbly with Your God
And what does the Lord require of me?
I will act justly
I will love mercy
I will walk humbly with my God
I will walk on
He is faithful
I will walk humbly with my God
~ Micah 6:8, 1 Thessalonians 5:24, Philippians 1:6
It’s pouring outside, rain’s not as torrential and wind’s not as gusty as on tornado day, but still, it’s pouring and all’s gray and gloomy. And this final week of school looks rather bleak too. But you know what? I will rejoice and be glad in it! For today is another day that the Lord has made.
