Just got back from my very first run after many weeks of illness/gym-membership-wasting lethargy, and am feeling so high!
It’s the first day of Easter break proper, I started
the day late and spent all afternoon poring over econometrics formulae,
till I’d done enough to allow myself to sneak online to visit gmail an
weather.co.uk. Where I found out that it was a glorious 13°C!
So I very hurriedly (had to be, any further thought
would have shot me right back into my comfy chair) pulled on track
pants and got myself and mp3 player out the door.
Began as a really tough jog actually, with the wind
alternating between trying to push me off the pavement into the road,
backwards towards home and forwards to potentially lose my front teeth
on an uneven slab…haha I exaggerate.
But it got better, after deciding to just walk when it
got too windy to run, and then run when I felt like it. So it was all
pretty pleasant and relaxing, especially when I got to Regent’s canal.
Could then simply enjoy running/walking up and down
avoiding dogs and bicycles, with the ducks splashing in the folds of
water nearby, music streaming from my earphones (which by the way also
double up as earmuffs to keep my ears from ringing heh), and being able<
to admire the huge expanse of unobstructed cloudy sky above.
Best part is: I’m home feeling so happy and exercised
now! Who cares how many calories I burned man- spring’s finally here
and I shan’t need the gym anymore! Yay!
Now, I’ve just got to keep this going…

Song of the run:
I will come to You with an open heart/ And bring a
sacrifice of praise/ I have seen Your power in the holy place/ And I
have known Your mighty ways/ I will remember Your mercy/ And Lord Your
faithfulness
Lord Your goodness/ And Your love will follow me/
All the days of my life/ I’m surrounded with the favour of the Lord/
Always and forever
